Submitted by George, Date of Stay June 17, 2015:  We just spent the last week staying in this condo in Girdwood. Every detail of our week here was ideal. Communication with the owners was efficient, the condo was immaculate, and the size was ideal for our family of five. We really enjoyed the private hot tub on the balcony. The location was ideal being near a great coffee shop in a quiet, quirky town. Initially we were a little concerned when we saw a group of run-down looking mobile homes that are next door to the buildings, but we did not hear a single noise from any neighbors. This condo in Girdwood is the ideal home base for doing day trips. Anchorage is only 35 miles north, Whittier is about 20 miles away (through an amazing tunnel), Hope is about 45 miles and Seward is about 90 miles south. This town is known for the Double Musky Restaurant and Jack Sprats, both which draw people from Anchorage. Having a full kitchen with every amenity, even a coffee grinder, made it possible to eat breakfast in, and then enjoy the Alaskan seafood at various restaurants. We enjoyed The Bridge Restaurant in Anchorage, Swiftwater in Whittier, The Seaview Cafe in Hope, and Double Musky here in Girdwood. We will be recommending this property to friends and family who will be visiting Alaska!

Submitted by Julia R, Date of Stay Sept. 9, 2015: We were in town for a wedding. The accommodations were exactly as described. It was a quiet building and a short walk from the (only) convenience store. They had a high chair as well as a pack-n-play for the toddlers, and I felt my two young boys were very safe there. I can't say enough how this exceeded our expectations. Thanks so much!

Sumbitted by Carol, Date of Stay June 5, 2015:  Large sized condo. Rented two units (two bedroom, two bath each) for adult family members for two nights in order to attend granddaughter's wedding at Crow Creek Mine. Everything was perfect. Kim, manager, and her husband were very gracious and accommodating. They helped us when we unloaded and also with any special needs we had and were greatly appreciated. This top floor unit had a nice view. Quiet. Comfortable master bedroom bed.

Winner Creek Lodge

Submitted by Susan, Date of Stay August 24, 2015:  Our family wanted to spend some quality time together while discovering Alaska and found that perfectly in this wonderful house in Girdwood!  There were 7 of us-including our 2 1/2 month old grandson...and plenty of room for everyone!  Everthing was clean and cozy...even in this huge cabin! The Hot Tub was great on cooler rainy days and the local area has lots of great hikes for all levels of hikers & biker riders.  We were all very sad to leave, and would recommend this home to family and frineds.  Thank you Kim!

Submitted by Amy J, Date of Stay December 3, 2015:  It felt like home. The layout is open and inviting with comfortable furniture. Having a full kitchen and amenities to cook with was such a huge plus. The hot tub out on the deck with its direct unblocked view of Alyeska was spectacular! It's a great spot to be able to explore Girdwood we walked everywhere, it was refreshing.

Submitted by Uday N., Date of Stay July 12, 2015:  This was our 4th time staying at Ravenswood condo in Girwood. The accommodations were very luxurious and very convenient to visit Seward, Whittier and of course Alyeska Resort. It is only 45 minutes from Anchorage and the drive to and from there along the turn again arm is just beautiful. The views from the condo were just awesome. The grocery store across from the condo was very convenient. Manager Kimberly Duncan has been always very helpful. We will definitely return on our next visit to Alaska.

Submitted by Michael N, Date of Stay September 25, 2015:  My wife and I spent the week with our son (Soldier at JBAR.) We booked about a week out, and Kim was very prompt and courteous with our reservation. She answered all our questions, made sure we got moved in, and ensured sure we had everything we needed. Kim was very professional and made us feel very comfortable working with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo itself was clean, well maintained, and afforded us plenty of room with adequate privacy as well. There's ample room to unpack and store a weeks worth of clothes, but with the washer and dryer available we could have easily packed less. We made half of our meals in the condo. The kitchen is modern and very well stocked with cooking utensils. Nothing caught us by surprise. The VRBO description was factual and the reviews dead on. Everything was in great working order and instructions were very clear and concise. We had one minor issue the first night which was handled quickly, professionally, and resolved. The hot tub was in great working order and it was so awesome to relax each evening after long days of hiking. Girdwood is a great central location to experience all of the Chugach National Park. There are tons of great hikes with many of them to and/or with great views of glaciers in the area. The Iditarod and Winner Creek trails are within easy walking distance from this condo (the hand tram is a must!) and a quick twenty minute drive gets you to many more. Whittier and Seward are also easily accessible from Girdwood. We would not hesitate to stay here again and will definitely recommend this rental to anyone we know staying in Girdwood/Alyeska or the Anchorage area.

Submitted by Lura S, Date of Stay August 18, 2015:  We spent two nights in Girdwood in this two-bedroom condo, sharing it with our traveling companions. It was very comfortable for two couples---everyone felt there was plenty of room and privacy. The kitchen is large and has nice appliances, and all the furnishings are tasteful and in excellent condition. We especially enjoyed the deck with the sound of the creek nearby. We would happily stay here again if we return to Girdwood.
